Phil is a Hendersonville native and has been in real estate since 2006. His father and grandfather were in the real estate development /construction business in this area since the mid-1920s. Phil lives with his wife Karen in the last home his father built before retiring on part of his grandfather’s property where his late wife and he raised their two daughters Casey and Kim. Growing up in the business and helping in his father’s home construction company gave Phil an added general knowledge of the residential real estate business. A career in restaurant development and management instilled a sense of urgency, communication skills, work ethic, and the ability to multi-task. After leaving a successful career in the restaurant industry, going into real estate was a natural move. Phil began his career with Prudential (Beacon then Lifestyle) Realty in Hendersonville and is still with the same office today, which now operates as Berkshire Hathaway Lifestyle Properties. Phil has been very involved in his community volunteering and raising funds with numerous charities. After the loss of both parents and brother to cancer he partnered with Relay for Life. Also he co-founded and directed Celebrate Youth (a scholarship fund in the memory of Kevin Drake a former employee), volunteered with Boys and Girls club, and helped raise funds for various schools and non-profit groups.
Phil has closed millions in residential real estate, specializing in homes and land in Henderson, Polk, Transylvania, and Buncombe counties. Working with first home buyers, vacation properties, transfers, new construction sales, raw land he has the knowledge and experience needed to help you through your real estate transaction. Working with many seniors, (and now one himself), he decided to become a certified Senior Residential Specialist. This additional education and knowledge aids him in working with and being forward thinking when it comes to the transitions of senior clients.
