Being fortunate enough to grow up as a 4th generational native of the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains of Western North Carolina still feels surreal to Jodie. She is actively involved and “rooted” in her Asheville community and has been for over 50 years. Both of her children were born and raised in Asheville and attended both local public and private schools in the area. “There is no place like home” for her or her family. With a background in Interior Design and two residential builders within her immediate family, the housing industry has always been the driving force of her career. She is excited to combine her extensive knowledge of the community and her passion and experience in residential design and build and apply it to real estate.
As a Broker/REALTOR® for the Curated Housing Collection team for Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Lifestyle Properties, you can rely on Jodie’s integrity, diligence and determination to deliver exceptional, individualized client service. Patient and respectful of her client’s requests and needs, gracious in confronting challenges and a strong desire to make sure that the home buying and selling process is as easy and enjoyable as possible for each and every client– these are the cruxes of the real estate process for her.
When not helping clients with their listing or buying needs, Jodie enjoys traveling and spending time with family and friends– hiking/exploring, jogging, lake kayaking, or road & mountain biking when time allows. There is also something to be said for sitting outside around the fire pit on a cool evening, overlooking the mountains, enjoying the company of friends. Jodie also takes an interest in local art galleries, studios and artisans; refinishing or repurposing furniture pieces picked up at auction or local “antique” venues; scouting out bands and live music; and this year, excitedly working with a local artist to learn the art of jewelry silversmithing. Real estate in and around the Asheville area continues to grow and, not only do the mountains offer a beautiful backdrop for existing or new construction homes, but it’s also full of learning opportunities where music, art, jewelry design, craft beers or distilleries, and outdoor activities are concerned.
If you are planning on listing your home for sale or buying a home in the area, Jodie would love to have the opportunity to earn your business, assist you with your real estate needs and help you discover the inner beauty of Asheville and the WNC Mountains from a lifelong insider’s point of view.
